b. Secure Over Christmas

Posted in other by Baskeys on December 14, 2012

As most of you are all leaving for this very festive period we have decided to give you this gentle reminder to keep your properties safe and secure!

The first tip for Christmas:
Make sure all entrances/exits & windows are locked, there are typically 2 locks on both your front and back doors, don’t forget to lock them all!

The second tip for Christmas:
For the houses with security alarms, don’t forget to set them. You were given your codes at the start of your tenancy, if you do not know your alarm code don’t hesitate to stop by the office and we can let you know.

The third tip for Christmas:
If your property has gas central heating, don’t forget to leave you central heating on a low temperature. This avoids pipes bursting due to ice, remember burst pipes are tenants responsibility.

The forth tip for Christmas:
Don’t forget to turn off anything on a timer, other than lights.

And a partridge in a pear treeee.

For those of you who have rented a brand new Sanderson House Apartment, have you seen the huge signs on Jesmond Road! If not seen them go have a look they’re pretty impressive.

We do still have three 1 Bed apartments within the Sanderson House development, so get in touch if you’re interested..

Fancy A Laugh?

Fancy A Laugh?

If you haven’t already had a flier dropped through your door, there is a new comedy club opened in Newcastle, The Stand.

Established in 1995, the club runs three purpose built venues in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle. They are open seven nights a week with a varied programme of contemporary comedy featuring the best UK and international comedians.

Started by a bunch of enthusiasts as a hobby, The Stand has now become a successful commercial company, but one that is true to its roots of developing new comedy in the UK and giving audiences variety and value. Many performers and critics regard the clubs as among the best comedy venues in the world.

We’ve found a good-in for you, Cafe 1901.

They can be found in the heart of Jesmond, in the church just at the top of Acorn Road. The menu is lovely with hot and cold food available (I would definately recommend the club sandwhich) and with the ’award winning’ artisan coffee you get caffine kick you need. Finally if you like chair your sitting on or the table your eating off, the furniture is all for sale.

And if you want all this on your door step, call us. We offer a range of 8 – 1 bed properties within the Jesmond area.

2012/13 Update

Posted in other by Baskeys on December 6, 2011

We are getting in the swing of our 2012/13 viewings now at baskeys, so be believe it’s time for an update.

We have now completed our new brochure, and are so pleased with the outcome. All of our existing tenants should have had one popped though there letter box, and there are plenty in our offices for everyone to pick up.

The content this year is excellent, inside there are descriptions and pictures of all our properties, we have also included localised maps for each area, Jesmond Sandyford, Heaton and the City centre. As well as general information about Newcastle, we kept you students in mind while writing this year’s edition and tried to tell you about some of the more interesting local hotspots that we think are well worth checking out, there are also some stories about our past tenants, Robbie’s tale is well worth a read, he even shocked us with this. Finally we managed to wriggle some great offers into the brochure including 15% off at Jules B, 25% at the Daraz Curry house and a free shot at RU bar on Osborne Road.
